The City will be holding the first public meeting for the Richmond Beach Road Rechannelization project. The project will rechannelize Richmond Beach Road/NW 195th Street/NW 196th Street from Dayton Avenue N to 24th Avenue NW from two lanes in each direction to one vehicle lane in each direction, bike lanes, and a center turn lane. The rechannelization provides the ability to implement on-street bike lanes, add pedestrian refuge space for people crossing the street, and helps mitigate the vehicle collision patterns seen along the corridor. Come learn about the project and tell the City how you use Richmond Beach Road now and how you would like to use it in the future. Some how reducing lane capacity by 50% is supposed to help traffic flow. It might be a good meeting to attend.
